Agriculture & Employment
Just a few years ago, Halutza was nothing but sand dunes. Today, Jews living in this area have turned the desert into a thriving agricultural land. Approximately 40% of the people living in Halutza are farmers. Since its establishment in 2007, the Agricultural Cooperative Association in Halutza has established a thriving agriculture using advanced technologies to produce high quality crops.
In recent years, we have expanded to include plantations and greenhouses growing leafy vegetables, lemons, avocado, tomatoes, peppers, pineapples and more.
